In anticipation of YamJam 12, our first annual conference, we drew together some of our amazing speakers for a public tweetchat last week. The goal of this meeting of the minds was to address tactical adoption advice, as well as high-level commentary around The Future of Work. Joining us were: Ray Wang and Alan Lepofsky of Constellation RG, Adam Pisoni of Yammer, Miguel Zlot of Molson Coors. Check out the Storify recap below for highlights.
We had a great time discussing the future of work, and wanted to continue the conversation talking about The Culture of Sharing — a culture that fuels and makes successful efforts in enterprise social. We are doing another tweetchat this week, featuring a fresh and equally big topic, with a new cast of featured speakers. We’ll be discussing why organizational sharing is important to help you move with velocity, and what you can do to make it less scary to share. Join Michael Fauscette of IDC, Roland Hulme of Tyco, Lawrence De Voe of Initiative and Jonathan Anthony of Teekay on Wednesday, October 24 at 12 noon PST / 3 p.m. EST.
We will be addressing questions like:
- Why is sharing important?
- How sharing be encouraged at an organizational
- Why are top-down hierarchical organizations hesitant to encourage sharing?
- How does sharing translate into a culture of transparency?
- What does sharing mean for execs, middle managers and users?
- How does “working out loud” help you avoid costly mistakes?
What do you want to know? Ask a question in the comments or show up to the tweetchat!
To participate, follow hashtag #YamJam12 and bring your brilliant comments and questions. We’ll be giving away a few free tickets to YamJam ’12 to a few lucky participants who contribute thoughtfully!
