A few weeks ago, Yammer and Microsoft announced a definitive agreement for Microsoft to acquire Yammer. Today, we are excited to announce that the transaction is complete and Yammer is now part of the Microsoft Office Division. I will continue to lead the Yammer team as a Microsoft Corporate Vice President.
We are thrilled to start this new chapter and join forces with Microsoft to massively accelerate our vision to change the way work gets done with software that is built for the enterprise and loved by users.
Under Microsoft, Yammer will remain a stand-alone product with a freemium business model. We will maintain our focus on simplicity, innovation and cross-platform experiences and, over time, you will see more connections to SharePoint, Office 365, Dynamics and Skype. We will share more details about the joint product roadmap in the fall.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank both Yammer’s customers for their support during the past four years and our employees for their dedication and passion. It’s been a great experience partnering with you to transform the way we work.
We look forward to changing the world together with Microsoft and our customers!
Congratulations on the quick acquisition. Looks like it’s time to get to work building Microsoft Office. Between Yammer and Metro, Office is truly going through a revolutionary transformation.
Congrats on the completion of the acquisition! Looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

Congrats on the acquisition. I am delighted you are maintaining the spirit of Yammer and keeping the freemium business model. I believe this is a real oppurtunity to change the way people collaborate and work together.
